Kelly Taylor and her son Sammy, on 90210

For anyone doubting the return of the world’s most famous zip code to TV, the show’s premiere is the highest-rated debut on the CW ever with over 5 million viewers. You can read detailed breakdowns of the premiere’s ratings on Adweek and EW. What I want to focus on is that the episode was good, really good.

For 2 hours, it felt like “Beverley Hills, 90210” never ended.  The show remained true to its roots, while still remaining fresh and introducing us to a whole new crop of characters.  The nods to the old series were sprinked throughout the first two episodes and the growing mystery of who is the father of Kelly Taylor’s son (could it be Brandon, Dylan, or someone new?) added a great dynamic to the show. I’m going to keep watching, will you?

If you have some free time, you might be interested in heading over to Erin Silver’s blog, The Vicious Circle, as seen in the show. The blog features some of Silver’s thoughts and she shares all new pictures (including the one at the top of this post!).
