I’ve enjoyed Eli Stone and I’ll be sad to see it go when ABC runs out of new episodes of the recently canceled series. Tonight at 10pm is one of the series’ last new episodes. ABC’s official description: “Nathan calls on Eli to serve as minister at his wedding. When Eli’s latest vision has him questioning Nathan’s fiancee’s devotion, he is restless to learn Nate’s fate.”

Also on tonight:

8PM

  • CBS: Kennedy Center Honors

8:30PM

  • ABC: According to Jim (Comedy)

Tonight might be a nice evening to pick up a new book…

While I can’t help but imagine what this film would have been like had Brad Pitt and Edward Norton not been replaced with Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck, the trailer is still pretty engaging. Crowe portrays a reporter who is investigating a murder connected to a politician (Affleck), who he happens to be old friends with. The movie is a remake of the award winning BBC mini series of the same name. Helen Mirren and Rachel McAdams co-star.

Okay, so most of the shows I usually watch are on hiatus still, but that doesn’t mean that nothing is new.  Tonight at 9pm is an all new episode of Deal or No Deal, hosted by Howie Mandel.  I’ve loved Howie since the first time I saw Walk Like a Man and Little Monsters, and that love only grew when I realized that he was the voice of Gizmo in Gremlins and when I got hooked on Bobby’s World. In the game show, players have to close between 26 briefcases filled with different amounts of money in a chance to win up to 1 million dollars. It’s enjoyable to watch greedy players lose a couple hundred thousand dollars after following bad advise from their equally greedy familes. On the flip side, I love it when good natured people walk away with a ton of money in the game of chance. The 26 models holding the briefcase aren’t so bad either.

What else is on tonight? Not much…

8PM

  • NBC: Greatest Holiday Moments (Home Video Comedy)

10PM

  • NBC: Momma’s Boys (Reality)

On Janurary 6th, Scrubs returns with two all new episodes on its new home ABC. The network was kind enough to put together this nifty “Starter Kit” for the series recapping past seasons and introducing the characters to a new audience. I’m glad to see the series continue as it is one of the most enjoyable shows on television. It is also one of the few shows that I can watch at anytime and not feel completely lost, regardless of episode order or season.

You can also catch up with full episodes from the past two seasons of Scrubs at ABC’s official webpage for the series, located here.

Going through Chuck withdrawal as I am? Well, thankfully NBC has released three new Buy More webisodes since I reported on these a two months ago. These new episodes are focused on more work place related themes including Work Ethic, Youth Marketing, and Customer Service, and star Chuck regulars Joshua Gomez (Morgan), Vik Sahay (Lester), Scott Krinsky (Jeff) and our loveable assistant manager Emmett Milbarge portrayed by Arrested Development‘s Tony Hale.

You can watch the latest webisode here, and in case you missed the last new episode until February, “Chuck Versus Santa Claus”, you can check it out here.
