Oddee is hosting a gallery of some really cool face painting designs. The bizarre art is by James Kuhn, a “self-described drag queen, former nudist, born again Christian, and 46-year-old artist from Michigan”. Included in the mix of designs is Batman and Robin (as seen above), popcorn box, King Tutankhamun, sundae cup, cheeseburger, zebra, corn, and a kit-kat clock to name a few.

You can check out the full gallery  here.

It truly is a “New Moon” for Twilight fans as Catherine Hardwicke has been taken off the sequel to the vampire romance. Variety is reporting that Hardwicke and Summit Entertainment had very different, and strong, opinions on where they should go with the sequel.

“The debate was how to focus the adaptation of the second book, which deals more with giant werewolves than vampires, as well as the long depression of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), after her vampire lover (Rob Pattinson) leaves her.”

Personally, I think this is the best route for Summit to take to save the franchise for future adaptations. Twilight was a mess of a film with horrible direction from Harkwicke, and while it did decent box office, it has been critically panned across the board. Fresh blood could save this series the same way that Alfonso Cuarón’s masterful Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban lifted the boy wizard from two mediocre films from Chris Columbus.

It is just really refreshing to see a company that doesn’t have tunnel vision with box office numbers, and honestly wants to make a better film.

Wolverine and the X-Men is an all new animated version of everyone’s favorite mutant superheroes that will be premiering on Nicktoons early next year. Marvel just released this all new trailer for the series, which features the X-Men reuniting under Wolverine to fight Magneto, the Brotherhood, Senator Kelly, and Sentinels. The show feels like a nice blend of the 90′s X-Men: The Animated Series and the more recent X-Men: Evolution. I like it and I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Okay, so we don’t usually post political stuff, but this video was just too well made and features a Where’s Waldo of celebrities. Agree or disagree, it is still entertaining…

Lots of cool stuff is happening, here are a few things to read with your morning latte or tea.

  • Five new promo pictures have been released for the X-Men spin-off Wolverine. I can’t wait to see Hugh Jackman slash through a new crop of villains. (Spoiler TV)
  • NBC and Chuck have teamed up for a ton of addictive mini games based on the show. The newest one is Sniper School. (NBC)
  • God, I hope this crappy sequel to Beverly Hills Cop doesn’t get made. (Latino Review)
  • Do you have any interest in winning an awesome 21-disc DVD box set of Monty Python? (I Watch Stuff)
  • I’m not sure about you, but I suffer from “TiVo Guilt”. In fact, I feel like I should be watching something right now instead of writing this… (CNN)

Okay, I’ll be completely honest here, I have absolutely no clue what Seven Pounds is about asides from the fact that it stars Will Smith and has something to do with “seven strangers”. This clip does nothing to further my knowledge about the film’s plot, but it is interesting never the less.

Yup. A trailer for Katherine Heigl’s new romantic comedy, The Ugly Truth, has been released. If you couldn’t guess it, Heigl portrays a romantically challenged woman who is looking for Mr. Right. This time, Mr. Right is being played by Gerard Butler, who made the ladies swoon from the afterlife in P.S. I Love You. The film co-stars Cheryl Hines, Bonnie Somerville, Bree Turner, and Eric Winter, and was helmed by Robert Luketic (21, Legally Blonde).

What do you think, should Heigl continue making predictable romantic comedies or surprise us with something new?
