The Acadmey Awards are moving in a more entertaining direction next year when Hugh Jackman, sans the claws, hosts the 2009 awards ceremony. This will be the first time in recent memory that a comedian didn’t host the show, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Instead of belitting the audience, we’ll now have someone who can genuinely entertain them. The 81st Academy Awards will be presented on February 22nd, 2009.
