Two nights straight of new TV, what a great feeling. And this night we have a lot more variety of programming. Standing out among the crowd is the return of Scrubs, now on ABC. Guest starring in the episode is Courteney Cox. The episode airs tonight at 9pm.
“My Jerks” Official Description: “Kelso’s replacement, Dr. Maddox (Courteney Cox), makes some changes to Sacred Heart in the Season 8 opener. Meanwhile, J.D. is frustrated by his new set of incompetent interns, and Elliot tries to control her ego.”

Yup, Scrubs opened up with a whole new hour of shows.
Nope, wasn’t enthralled. Despite what they keep saying, it is not the same show. Granted, I didn’t hate it. But the magic wasn’t there. The only part that I truly enjoyed of the whole hour was the bit with patient George Valentine.
Why bring in Courtney Cox? To attract new viewers? The only good thing about her being on the show is that she won’t be doing any more eps of Dirt. At least I hope not. The announcer did say that she was a guest. Hmm.
Could Neil Flynn have a smaller part? The Janitor is one of the reasons why Scrubs rocked. Sure, he’ll find his way back, but it better be soon.
The show was shot differently as well. Tighter and darker. Not used to that. Why was it like that? No reason other than to change. No good reason.
Jury’s still out. Next Tuesday better not disappoint.
All right, I had nothing better to watch on Wednesday night, so I took in the hour repeat of Scrubs. It wasn’t as bad as I remembered. Either it was the case of my expecting something and not getting it or it’s that I’m so used to watching Scrubs via reruns that I expect them that way.
I still don’t like the new film style, though. Still don’t care for Courtney Cox that much. I still needed more of The Janitor.
New this season is the short outtake at the end of each ep. That’s kinda enjoyable.
Hopefully I won’t be overjazzed for next Tuesday. 🙂
I enjoyed the first two episodes. I’m pretty sure the show has the same crew in place, so any changes are rather small.
I thought Cox was okay in the episode. I was a fan of Friends, and its nice seeing her on a good comedy again (didn’t bother with Dirt).
As for Neil Flynn, if the show continues after this season, it might have to continue without him. He just signed on to a new ABC pilot, The Middle, where he stars along with Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) as a middle-class couple in Middle America trying to raise a trio of kids who are in Middle School. I’d be interested in watching that, it is about time that Flynn gets to lead a show of his own.
scrubs was good. law & order svu is still awesome.
Courtney Cox will probably give Scrubs a big PR boost, and she’s pretty funny as well
All rightie, second week has come and gone.
More Janitor. Yay.
Less Courtney Cox. Yay.
More touchy feelie stuff. Yay.
So a better second week. Hopefully the third won’t bounce back.
