I HATED the idea behind Brand New Day, and I really wanted to hate the series, but I have to admit that I’ve enjoyed Amazing Spider-Man since the “restart”. And I’m looking forward to seeing the resolution and fallout from Menace. The new issue came out today…
As interesting as this issue was, it was predictable where Menace was concerned. Many felt that Menace was just a plot device to get Harry back as the Green Goblin and this proved that theory correct. Marvel would have been better off bringing back Roderick Kingsley instead of giving us d-list goblin characters. But I guess Marvel hasn’t really learned from their past mistakes. Try again, Marvel!
I loved Roderick Kingsley, but I like how they ended his story and I hope that we never see him again (asides from flashback issues). I think Bill Hollister would have made a better Menace.
Marvel doesn’t learn from their past mistakes, they just make believe that they never happened.
