Dexter is not only one of the best shows on television (with a Best Drama Emmy Nomination to prove it), but it also has one of the most clever advertising campaigns every season also. Zap2It has a new article showcasing all of the posters revealed at Comic-Con, and they are AWESOME!

walking-dead

The best ongoing comic series currently on the market, Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead, could be making the jump to television screens from Frank Darabont and AMC.  In the series, a young police officer and family man, Rick Grimes, wakes up from a coma in a hospital to discover that the world has been overrun by zombies.  Not knowing how long he was out cold, he must regain his strength and fight through hordes of the undead to find and protect his family.

As I mentioned above, The Walking Dead is easily the best ongoing comic series. It is the one book that I wait for and it is the first thing I read every Wednesday that it hits stores. And as a huge fan, I have to say that I see no need for this to make the jump to TV. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see a zombie TV series (and I’m even producing my own Zombie Webseries), but The Walking Dead is perfect as it is. Being adapted into television will not add anything new or expand the universe in any way. I just don’t see a need for it.

Stouffers-panini is holding a pretty awesome contest for Canadian customers and web surfers! The new contest is in celebration of four all new varieties of Stouffer’s Panini, including Bistro Meatballs and Peppers, Bistro Chicken Souvlaki, Lean Cuisine Grilled Vegetables and Goat Cheese, and last but certainly not least, Lean Cuisine Mango Chicken Tikka.

What can you win from the contest?

  • Three grand prizes include a ten thousand dollar gift card along with a trip to destinations in either India, Greece, Italy or France.
  • One of twelve secondary prizes, which are a Sony Digital Camcorder with a value of five hundred dollars.
  • Daily instant prizes including coupons for FREE Stouffer’s products.

The best part about this is that you don’t even have to buy something to gain an entry into the contest. You get an automatic entry just for registering with the contest. Then you can gain more entries into the contest by buying one of the new varieties of Stouffers and signing into the website to enter up to one unique UPC code entry per day.

If I won this contest, I’d love to take a trip to Italy. I’d use a good portion of the ten thousand dollar gift card to go on every tour, see every museum, and eat the best food from North to South Italy.

For your free entry into this contest you have to register here. Good luck taking home the big prize!

Damages with Glen Close and Rose Byrne on FX Network

Okay, it is a Saturday during the summer and absolutely nothing is on television. So, what is there to watch? Thanks to the Internet, you don’t have to waste money on renting or Netflixing movies and television sets.  This weekend I’m going to rewatch all 13 episodes from the first season of Damages thanks to Crackle Television.

The series follows Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne), a bright and ambitious lawyer, who takes a job for Patty Hewes (Glenn Close), a high-stakes litigator who does everything in her power to win cases. Ted Danson co-stars as billionaire Arthur Frobisher, who Hewes is coming head to head with in a case that will break one of them.

The thing that I love about Damages is that the whole season is one very tight and well planned storyline. Using flashforwards and flashbacks, the creative team weaves an interesting puzzle that slowly comes together. If you haven’t watched the first season, I highly recommend checking it out!

You can view the episodes by heading here.
