Nominated for the top honor in film are a very interesting mix of films this year, including Avatar, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, and Up in the Air.
Personally, I think that Avatar is going to take home the award. I saw it in Imax 3D and was completely blown away. It is the type of film that reminds us why we go to theaters to escape in the first place. James Cameron crafted a visually stunning and epic film with characters you could really care about. The story has been told before in the past, but never like this.

The Hurt Locker has a good chance at winning, but it doesn’t come close to Avatar in my book.

I’m going to donate my free Tony’s pizza to that guy who sleeps in the bushes by the Olive Garden. He likes the Italian food from the dumpster, but he’s got to be getting tired of pasta pasta pasta. Maybe a nice pizza will pick his spirits up. Werd.
