I was surprised a couple months ago by the announcement that NBC was reviving Fear Factor and I think I’m still in shock that a new episode of Beavis & Butthead aired on MTV this past Thursday, but both of those shows coming back pale in comparison to the news that broke last night from FOX… the network is bringing back the 90s cult sketch comedy In Living Color.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the new version of the show will bring back its creator Keenen Ivory Wayans as host and executive producer for two half hour specials during midseason, then depending on how the ratings are, Fox has an option for a full series order. If you don’t remember In Living Color, you can rest assured that it was funnier than Fox’s MADtv and much more outrageous that Saturday Night Live. The show launched the careers of Keenen Ivory Wayans (along with the whole Wayans clan; Damon, Shawn, Marlon and Kim) along with Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier, and of course Jim Carrey (who stole the show for me with Fire Marshall Bill… FOX I don’t care what you have to do, or how much you have to spend, if the show goes to series you have to do something to get Carrey appear in the role down the line).

Can we expect any other shows to make a return? I’d love to see more 90s shows make a comeback. How about The Secret World of Alex Mack? Or how about another new Saved by the Bell? Who’s the Boss? Boy Meets World could now be Man Meets World? The possibilities are endless.
