“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

How important is social media to your goals? Well, I guess that depends a lot on what your exact goals are. If you want a lot of people to see your movie or visit your personal filmmaker website, than social media is the key to getting people there.

There are search engine marketing firms that have a good grasp on social networking and how it relates to media and getting the word out about your product (is your movie on DVD? online video? merchandise to promote your movie, etc). If you can get enough followers on Twitter, or enough “likes” on Facebook, then people will see your page. They will follow your words. And ultimately, they will see your movie. The first step is signing up for all of the social networking websites. Don’t limit yourself to just one. Take small steps and go from there.

My husband and I have a little girl. For years, we said we would never let our future child watch television. We always thought parents who let their children watch television, didn’t care about spending time with their children. We thought these parents were just neglecting their children. Well, then we had a child. The television has nothing to do with caring for or watching your child. Sometimes everyone just needs a few minutes to rest and relax and not have to think about things. We decided our directv tv was not doing any harm to our child and to be honest it was helping keep us sane. I love my child more than anything on this earth, but the thirty minutes a day she watches television gives me time to recharge my batteries. Of course, I know too much television is a bad thing. However, I have gone from thinking children should never watch television to understanding and believing everything is fine in moderation. My advice to all the parents-to-be out there is to never say you would never do something because likely you will be eating your words.

I know, as comfortable as it looks, and as awesome as it would be… most jobs don’t let us come in wearing scrubs. You only get that pleasure if you are a doctor, nurse, surgeon, physician… or if you play one on television (like the cast of Grey’s Anatomy to the left of this article).  Everyone else has to wear normal clothes (or… ugh… a suit and tie). In my honest opinion, every job should allow workers to wear nursing scrubs.

I’m serious.

No, really, I am. Lets think about it for a moment. If everyone was wearing ultra comfortable scrubs everyday there would be a ton of benefits. Number one: Productivity would rise as comfortable people get more done and concentrate better (I’m sure I can find an internet poll to back me up on this). Number two: Out goes the worry about what to wear tomorrow. You’ll know just what to wear, now the only decision will be what color of awesome scrubs do you wanna wear or mix and match? Number three: Think of all the money you’ll save on work specific clothes. Honestly, do you need more than three reasons to want to go to work in scrubs? No? Neither do I, I think I’ll try it out tomorrow.

Wall Street is a place where more happens than most of us are aware of. This is the place where so much about the price of different goods is determined. It is important that you are paying attention to what is going on up there. That is why the show Wall Street Warriors is so interesting to me. This show is all about the different people that work on Wall Street. It shows the different things that they do in their jobs and helps explain what is going on to the average individual out there who has no clue about what is going on.

I think that a show like Wall Street Warriors is great both as an educational show and for entertainment value as well. I personally make sure that I tune in each week on my bestchoicetv.com to catch the episodes. It is a new show, so it is hard to say which episode is my favorite yet. I would just say the first episode titled “Capitalism Rules” simply because of the fact that it was the episode that introduced me to the show. If you want to be entertained or educated, it is important that you make sure that you tune in to this show as often as possible. I learn something new every time I tune in and I think you will too.
