Pause.com just brought a smile to my face by the sheer possibility that Linda Hamilton might have signed on to appear in all three films of McG’s Terminator trilogy.

The site claims that a studio source confirmed Hamilton’s involvement, but one of Hamilton’s reps said that they hadn’t heard about this, but that Linda would be interested in it. You can read the original report here.

With James Cameron and Arnold both giving their blessing to the film (and rumors that Arnold might even be making a voice cameo in the film), I can picture this rumor planning out to be true. Hamilton decided to not return in Terminator 3 because she did not like the script and the fact that Cameron wasn’t happy about the picture. With Bale citing the script as the main reason that he signed on to a trilogy, we have to believe that it’s good. Plus, it has been years since Hamilton had a juicy role, and there is no better part bring her back into the spotlight than the one that made her famous in the first place.

Man, I hope this rumor pans out. And I still hope that they change the name from Terminator Salvation.
