Lots of cool stuff is happening, here are a few things to read with your morning latte or tea.

  • Five new promo pictures have been released for the X-Men spin-off Wolverine. I can’t wait to see Hugh Jackman slash through a new crop of villains. (Spoiler TV)
  • NBC and Chuck have teamed up for a ton of addictive mini games based on the show. The newest one is Sniper School. (NBC)
  • God, I hope this crappy sequel to Beverly Hills Cop doesn’t get made. (Latino Review)
  • Do you have any interest in winning an awesome 21-disc DVD box set of Monty Python? (I Watch Stuff)
  • I’m not sure about you, but I suffer from “TiVo Guilt”. In fact, I feel like I should be watching something right now instead of writing this… (CNN)

As a gaming fan, I have no idea how Mirror’s Edge got completely past me. It is visually outstanding while bringing a whole new element to one of my favorite game genres, the first person shooter. Watch this trailer to see for yourself…

The game was released earlier this month, you can click on the link above to buy it.

People Magizine’s website offers a variety of entertainment related games, but my favorite is easily Puzzler, a crossword game of movies, television, and celebrity knowledge with a mix of text and picture questions.  A new chart is released weekly, but with 27 already released you’ll have a lot to keep busy with.

People’s other games include Celebrity Trivia, Hollywood Hangman, Odd Star Out, Love Connection, and Celebrity Concentration. You can check them out here.

LucasArts and BioWare are teaming up to develop Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online game (MMO for short) that lets players choose to become a Jedi, Sith, or someone caught between the warring fractions. The game takes place more than 3,500 years before the rise of Darth Vader as a truce between the Sith Empire and the Republic begins to crumble apart and the events in the game lead the galaxy towards and all-out war.

The game’s official site has issued a press release with a lot more information on the game, continue reading to check it out.

Spore, Video Games

Spore“, from the makers of “The Sims” and “Sim City”, has to be one of the coolest video games I have ever seen. It takes the ideas behind both “The Sims” and “Sim City” and expands on them in ways I never thought possible. You start as a single cell, and you first have to fight to survive, then evolve into a species, a civilization, and ultimately a galaxy with countless planets and unlimited possiblites. Keep reading for more details and videos about “Spore“.

The WWE is teaming up with THQ for a wrestling game that even I can get excited about (I stopped watching wrestling while it was still the WWF). “Legends of Wrestlemania” is coming to the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360, and lets players “relive, rewrite, and redefine the greatest moments in WWE history.”

Read on for more details and a teaser trailer for the game.

A new trailer has been released for John Moore’s adaptation of the best selling video game, “Max Payne”. Mark Wahlberg is Max Payne, a former police officer turned DEA agent whose family was brutally murdered and is on the run from the police for a murder that he was framed for. Add in a conspiracy, cultists, and an assassin (played by the lovely Mila Kunis) out to avenge her sister’s death, and you have one hell of a thrill ride. I loved the game and I have high hopes for the film. Keep reading to watch the new trailer, along with links to the old teasers!
