COMET TV is ending the year with a bang and some awesome free sci-fi and horror movies!

The classic Tank Girl (trailer above ^ ) will be showing on both December 29th (8p e/7p c) and December 30th (same time). Tank Girl, adapted from the comic book of the same name, takes audiences to 2033 and follows Lori Petty as the title character in a post-apocalyptic landscape as she faces off with Malcolm McDowell’s villianous Kesslee. Action and booms a plenty.

Earth Girls are Easy

Also showing on December 30th (6p e/5p c), is Earth Girls Are Easy. Jeff Goldblum as a studly alien looking for a mate? Yeah, that hook works for me. Also starring Geena Davis, Jim Carrey, and Damon Wayans. How have I not seen this yet?

Dr Goldfoot

Also on December 30th, you can take a campy trip way back with the double feature of Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine (2p e/1p c) and Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs (4p e/3p c). Vincent Price. Frankie Avalon. And bikini clad robot women. I kid you not.

Head over to COMET TV to watch and learn more about their schedule/upcoming movies.

Jeff Goldblum Joins Law and Order

Tonight’s TV isn’t that bad. Well, not as bad as it was last week. How can it be bad when we have a new Law & Order: Criminal Intent starring the one and only Jeff Goldblum?  In tonight’s episode, Detective Nichols is investigating the murder of a drug dealer who was planning on leaving town. Catch the new episode on NBC at 9pm.

Jeff Goldblum Joins Law and Order

With the current season of TV coming to an end, the tube is pretty bare. For tonight, thankfully we still have Jeff Goldblum catching criminals on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In tonight’s all new episode, Nichols and Wheeler are investigating the death of a con man who just scammed a lonely single mother.

How in the world did I miss this casting tidbit? The one and only Jeff Goldblum is joining Law and Order: Criminal Intent. While I didn’t get into his 2007 television effort, Raines, I think Goldblum is an incredible talent and is a perfect fit for the Law and Order universe.

He’ll be portraying Zack Nichols, a cerebral and quirky detective who is paired with Detective Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson). Sixteen all new episodes of Criminal Intent will be airing in 2009 on the USA Network. While waiting for new episodes you can head over to the official L&O website and play a game of concentration, or a variety of other games and trivia.
