Once Upon a Time just got a little more magical! ABC’s fairy tale drama just promoted Emilie de Ravin to a series regular, so get ready to see more Belle in the second season. The Lost vet is a welcome addition to an already really great cast that features Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, and Robert Carlyle. This is the second such promotion in recent weeks as the show upgraded Meghan Ory to a series regular. Ory portrays Ruby aka Little Red Riding Hood.

Burn Notice just got a little more awesome as John C. McGinley is joining the show for five episodes (maybe more?). You should remember McGinley from his scene stealing roles in Scrubs and Point Break. In Burn Notice he’ll be taking on the role of Tom Card, a CIA training offer who taught Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) everything he knows and was a mentor/father-figure of sorts. Michael turns to him to help get Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) out of prison. Tune in to Burn Notice tonight at 9p on USA to see how McGinley fits into the mix.

I guess Unforgettable might not be as forgettable as CBS thought it was as the network is in talks to revive the show, only weeks after not renewing it. The procedural starred Poppy Montgomery as a detective with an uncanny memory- they took the idea of a photographic memory to a cartoon like place by having her remember every piece of everything she ever sees tot he extent that she can even walk through the memories. It plays out more like a super power rather than a grounded detective show. The series co-stars Nip/Tuck‘s Dylan Walsh. We will have to wait and see if CBS ends up ordering more episodes and what impact it will have on the show’s budget and cast.

What could be better than a new Burn Notice tonight? How about catching up on all of the Burn Notice that you can take before the new episode comes on? That is what we have on USA Network who started a Burn Notice marathon at 6am this morning, which will build all day until the new episode at 10pm tonight! (a good day to call in sick, eh?) I used a shocked picture of Michael and Sam to show how shocked I was to find out about the mid-week marathon. Tonight’s official description: “Damned if You Do”; Michael and Fiona plan to abduct a hacker in Puerto Rico in order to obtain his software, but the man has several other enemies to contend with. Elsewhere, Madeline learns to retrieve information from the police under the tutelage of Sam and Jesse.

Okay, what else is new today?

Burn Notice

While we might not get many new shows during the summer, at least we get some really good ones, like Burn Notice (and it helps that Bruce “The Chin” Campbell co-stars in the series).  The series has a great blend of action, drama and comedy. It airs at 9pm on the USA Network. In tonight’s episode, Michael infiltrates a gang to try to take down a dangerous and sought-after criminal, while Sam’s past catches up with him. Yeah, I have no idea how the above picture ties into the episode.

Also on tonight (barely anything):

  • ABC: Samantha Who?/In The Motherhood (Comedies)
  • TNT: Wedding Day (Reality)

  • FOX: So You Think You Can Dance? (Reality)

  • NBC: The Listener (Drama)
  • USA: Royal Pains (Medical Drama)

Tonight at 10pm on the USA Network is an all new Burn Notice. In the episode, titled “Hot Spot”, Michael, Fiona and Sam pose themselves as a team of car thieves to prevent thugs from going after a high school football star. The series stars Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar and the great Bruce Campbell.

Also on tonight…

  • FOX: American Idol (Reality)

  • CW: Supernatual (Supernatural Drama)
