Pushing Daisies

Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to Pushing Daisies from television. The final episode airs tonight at 10pm on ABC. In the episode, the gang must go undercover to solve the murder of a member of a synchronized-swimming duo.  Who knows, maybe in the future we’ll get a stright to DVD movie just like creator Bryan Fuller’s Dead Like Me.  In the very least, Fuller is going to continue Ned and Chuck’s story in comic book form.

Also on tonight? Not much…

8PM

  • NBC: Kings (Drama)

9PM

  • CBS: Harper’s Island (Mystery)
  • FOX: America’s Most Wanted

10PM

  • CBS: 48 Hours Mystery (News)

David Arquette guest stars in the all new episode of Pushing Daisies. In the new episode, titled “Frescorts”, the gang investigates the murder of a popular escort of a friend-for-hire business.  Their lead suspect is the victim’s socially awkward roommate (Arguette), who also happens to enjoy taxidermy.  Debra Mooney (pictured above with Chi McBride) guest stars as Emerson’s mother, who also happens to be a famed private investigator.

The new episode airs tonight on ABC at 8pm.

After an excellent come back last week (after way too long of an hiatus – curse you writer’s strike!), we have another all new episode of Pushing Daisies.

In tonight’s episode, Ned (Lee Pace), Chuck (Anna Friel) and Emerson (Chi McBride) go on a hunt for a missing teenage girl (guest star Hayley McFarland), which leads them into the middle of a circus that has a strangely high mortality rate. Elsewhere, Olive (Kristin Chenoweth) continues her “vow of silence” at a nunnery. The episode airs at 8pm on ABC.

Tonight on ABC is the return of the most stylistic new show of last season, “Pushing Daisies”. Daisies follows Ned (Lee Pace) a piemaker with an extraordinary ability to bring people back to life with a single touch, but tragically takes that life away with another touch. After Ned’s childhood sweet heart Chuck (Anna Friel) was murdered, he brought her back to life, but their love has a road block of no physical contact. The show co-stars the hysterical Chi McBride and the adorable Kristin Chenoweth.

On tonight’s all new episode (the first since December 2007); Ned, Chuck, and Emerson Cod (McBride) investigate a woman’s death by bee stings, which forces Chuck to go undercover as a “Bee Girl”. Check out these pictures from the season premiere of “Pushing Daisies”:

Four Christmases

I absolutely LOVE Holiday films and this is about the time of the year that studios unleash trailers for their November and December Christmas flicks. New Line Cinema has released the trailer for “Four Christmases”, which stars Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon as a “happily unmarried couple” who attempt to go on a private get-away for Christmas, only to be stopped in their tracks by bad weather and forced to spend the Holiday at four “relative-choked festivities”.
