Wonder Woman Storyboards

When My Hollywood Dream begin, it was a mix of entertainment opinions and reviews and filming tips. For the most part we ended up going in the full entertainment side and filmmaking tips became more scattered (never forgotten, but less of the site’s focus).

Back in 2009, I posted my personal storyboard template that I used for my own (at the time) short movies (now I am proud to say I also have a feature under my belt). I have two variations of this storyboard template (full screen and wide screen) and because of “popular demand”, I am more than happy to post these again. Feel free to download them and modify/use them however you want (if you repost them anywhere, please credit and link back to MyHollywoodDream.com). These files are a very basic template image that you can open and print in preview, word or any photo program.

Oscar nominee James Franco is making a grand return to General Hospital at the end of September. Unlike most actors that get their start in soaps, Franco decided to go for a run on the long running daytime drama in 2009, well after he found success in both television and film. I love Franco and his Hospital serial killer character of the same name and I can’t wait to see what they do with him on this go around. It is said to be a “long-term” arc. With One Life to Live and All My Children canceled off of ABC, General Hospital is going to have to pull out all of the stops to prove that the show still belongs in the lineup and this is a good step towards that.

More goodies from the Wonder Woman pilot that will never see the light of day have surfaced, includes two clips from the proposed series and a bunch of pretty cool storyboards. The storyboards are by concept artist Cesar Lemus and show shots from the released clips (like the above one) along with glimpses of WW’s origin on Paradise Island. Was her origin originally going to be in the pilot but got cut out or were they saving it for later? After watching the footage, this series seems like less of a fit for NBC and more of a fit for the CW. It could have been a good guilty pleasure superhero series to replace Smallville… oh well.

It has been a while since we posted daily filmmaking tips and resources and I aim to change that. Here is a full frame storyboard template that I designed a long time ago.  It is a very basic template image that you can open and print in preview, word or any photo program.

Storyboard Template Full Frame

I like this particular format, because it allows for 8 smaller images per page, instead of wasting time on full size images. Personally, I go a bit overboard and like to storyboard all of my scenes (especially when I’m doing a short). Whether you like to go overboard like me, or just sketch out some of your action sets, I hope that you find this template useful!

You can save a high resolution version of the Full Frame Storyboard Template here.
