A poster for the new animated flick, Megamind, starring the voices of Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, and Will Ferrell. From Madagascar director Tom McGrath, the movie is a satirical take on superheroes with Pitt as Metro Man, a goodiegoodie superhero and Farrell as the villain and title character, Megamind.

The Dreamworks Animated movie comes out in November. If you are going to the San Diego Comic Con International, the movie will be having a panel on Thursday July 22nd at 10am. On hand from the film will be Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill and Tom McGrath. They will be having a question and answer session along with showcasing all new footage from the film.

The film sounds like it can be a lot of fun. Originally, Robert Downey Jr was slated to appear as the Megamind (originally named “Master Mind”), but had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts. I would have preferred him to Will Ferrell who doesn’t show nearly as much range as Downey. Brad Pitt is a nice addition as the steriotypical superhero. Jonah Hill is always a great addition also.

Are you looking forward to Megamind? Will it be a new Incredibles or will it be as awful as Monsters vs Aliens?

“Senor Macho Solo” Official Description: “Liz’s quest to have a baby takes a peculiar turn when she grows attracted to a new fellow (Dinklage). Tina Fey’s 30 Rock returns with new episodes on NBC next Thursday, October 30th, but you can watch the premiere now on NBC’s official site. The series focuses on Liz Lemon (Fey), who is the head writer of a Saturday Night Live style sketch comedy show that must juggle the show’s crazy star (Tracy Morgan) and even crazier network executive (Alex Baldwin). 30 Rock co-stars Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, and Jack McBrayer.

The third season premiere is titled “Do-Over”, NBC’s description follows; Liz tries to keep the “TGS” staff from ruining her chances at adoption when an evaluator drops by the job. Jack returns from D.C. with a plan of action to go head-to-head with Devin Banks.”

From “Iron Man” to “Master Mind”? Hollywood Insider is reporting that Robert Downey Jr is teaming up with Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Films, and will be lending his voice to DreamWorks Animation’s “Master Mind”, a superhero spoof.

Downey Jr., who starred as the golden avenger Iron Man earlier this summer, would be joining the dark side for this new film where he portrays a “villain who loses his will to live after accidentally killing his archrival”. Tina Fey is rumored to be joining the film’s cast.

The film has an expected release date of November 5th, 2010. The IMDB lists Gary Trousdale (Atlantis: The Lost Empire) as the director, but multiple sites are reporting that Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson will now be helming the film. Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons wrote the screenplay, which will be both writer’s debut film.
