tv raising the bar tnt

Okay, I’ll admit it, I have not seen a single episode of TNT’s legal drama Raising the Bar. But after Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Late Night apparence as Zack Morris, I’d like to thank him by giving his show a chance.  It also helps that the show co-stars J. August Richards, aka Gunn from Joss Whedon’s Angel.  The series was created by David Feige and Steven Bochco. Bochco created such classics as Doogie Howser, M.D. and NYPD Blue.

In the new episode, Jerry (Gosselaar) and Michelle (Melissa Sagemiller) go before an overly strict new judge (John Michael Higgins) as Michelle falls for a cop that might be committing perjury. In addition to John Michael Higgins, the episode guest stars Jack Carter and Shelley Berman. The episode airs on TNT at 10PM.

Leverage on TNT

Tonight at 10pm on TNT is an all new episode of Leverage. The series is about a group of high-tech Robin Hoods who scam and steal from greedy corporations that victimize normal citizens. On the new episode, the crew “takes aim on an unscrupulous construction firm that is swindling customers out of their homes.”

Okay, Everyone Loves Raymond is not returning to television, but Ray Romano will be!

The comedian/actor will be starring in and producing Men of a Certain Age for the TNT Network. Romano will be producing along with Mike Royce, who executive produced Everyone Loves Raymond with him.

According to Variety, the series focuses on “three fortysomething college buddies who are each coming to terms with a midlife that doesn’t live up to their previous expectations.”

Co-starring in the series is Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street) and Scott Bakula (Quantum *freaking* Leap).

The dramedy is currently signed up for 10 episodes, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more. The network is eying January 2010 for the show’s premiere.
