Yahoo! TV has released the first 5 minutes for the new season of Gossip Girl. The show, which is based on the popular young adult book series, “gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers in an elite private school in New York City.” The first season was only a mild hit for the CW network in rating, but proved to be an internet sensation among teenagers. The season premieres this Monday at 8pm on the CW.

While checking out the Heavy video network, I stumbled onto this funny spoof song, “Don’t Say to Your Wife”. The song is a spoof of Greenday’s Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

With the success of The Dark Knight, its only natural that a lot of people would want to either mimic the scarred look of Two-Face for a new villain or even shoot their own Batman fan film. The backyard effects specialists at Indy Mogul show us how to create chemical burns. Watch it online and you can check out more of Indy Mogul’s how to videos and their weekly shows here.

There have been a ton of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” related spin off proposals (a full list can be found here), but none of them came closer to happening than “Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Animated Series”.  The series was going to follow the Scooby Gang back in high school (for the first time with Dawn), with most of the cast reprising their roles (sans Sarah Michelle Gellar), and most of the writing team on board to write episodes.  The idea seemed solid, but for unknown reasons it never made it to air. Now, almost four years later, the pilot presentation has been leaked online!  Watch it, have your friends watch it, with enough views or the right hype, maybe all this time later it will make it to air. Weirder things have happened.

For now, enjoy!

Access Hollywood has posted a deleted scene from Marvel Studios’ Iron Man. The scene takes place just before Iron Man leaves to fight terrorists in the Middle East. He sets up a party, makes sure to be seen and uses three beautiful women as his alibi as he goes to fight crime. While it is a cool scene, I’m really glad it was deleted. I understand the need for the secret identity, but this just seems like a long drawn out thing for a “hero” to do while people are dying and need his help.

I never thought that this past year’s (WGA) writer’s strike would have had positive repercussions, but after seeing this alternate ending to the second season of Heroes, I’m glad the writers went on strike. You see, due to the strike, the creative forces behind Heroes scrapped the current storyline they were developing and went into a completely different (and much better IMO) direction; which will lead into season 3 “Villains”. This is a vision of what could have happened (a future which has been diverted).
