ItsJustSomeRandomGuy’s latest “Hi, I’m a Marvel… and I’m a DC” spoof features Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine chatting it up with the Watchmen. I LOVE this series and this one hits the nail on the head. This is Deadpool!

The guys at Indy Mogul have put together another awesome spoof superhero film (check out their Spirit spoof here). This flick shows some of the struggles that went into making the new Wolverine movie…

Marvel Superhero Squad, Cartoon

Cartoon Network and Marvel Comics are teaming up for the Marvel Super Hero Squad, a new animated series that will feature some of Marvel’s most popular heroes, including Captain America, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Silver Surfer, among others. The network has ordered 26 episodes of the series.

The new cartoon is loosely based on Marvel’s weekly comic strip of the same name, which features a new strip every day. Click here to check them out. The new series will premiere in late 2009.

I hope everyone has had a nice week. Today we have a poster, fan made trailer, along with some other stuff. Enjoy!

  • An all new teaser poster for X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been reelased. I like it, but it is pretty much just a variation of ever other Wolverine image we’ve had since the first X-Men flick. (Comics Continuum)
  • A big fan of Smallville and Buffy the Vampire Slayer had way tooooo much time on their hands! (YouTube)
  • 3 on 3 NHL Arcade reminds me a lot of NBA Jam. (IGN)
  • Have I said lately how much I love having full episodes of TV shows online? In the Family Guy episode “Road to Germany”, “Brian and Stewie travel back in time and land in Nazi-era Germany.” (Hulu)
  • Will Ferrell is the bright spot on Broadway? (Variety)

Wolverine and the X-men

Tonight at 8pm we have the first two episodes of Wolverine and the X-Men on Nicktoons.  In the new animated series, it has been a year since the X-Men were disbanded after the Xavier Institute was destroyed and Marvel Girl and Professor X went missing. A mutant registration act has been passed and there is an increase of violence towards mutants. After a family that Wolverine saves is punished for showing him kindness, the battle worn mutant reunites the X-Men and becomes the team’s new unlikely leader. The trailer for the new series was pretty darn good and I’m looking forward to it.
