After “Firefly” was wrongfully canceled, and “Driver” never made it to the finish line, b-action hero Nathan Fillion is going to attempt to be in another television series.
Variety reports that ABC Studios has picked up Fillion’s pilot, “Castle”, to go to series for midseason.
The show “stars Fillion as a novelist who helps the NYPD solve homicide cases. Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Susan Sullivan and Stana Katic also star in the comedic procedural from ABC Studios. Andrew Marlowe wrote the pilot and exec produces with Armyan Bernstein, Rob Bowman and Laurie Zaks.”
“Castle” joins four other shows that ABC put an order out for, including; “The Unusuals” starring Amber Tamblyn, and Adam Goldberg, “Cupid” from Rob Thomas and starring Bobby Cannavale, “Single With Parents” starring Alyssa Milano, Annie Potts, and Beau Bridges, and “Better Off Ted” with Jay Harrington and Portia de Rossi.
