Tonight is the first episode of Ruby & the Rockits from ABC Family. The show premieres at 8:30pm directly after the enjoyable 10 Things I Hate About You. In the new series, Ruby, portrayed by Alexa Vega, tracks down her father David, portrayed by music legend David Cassidy, who is an irresponsible ex-pop star who was big int he 80s. David must seek help from his brother and former bandmate Patrick (Cassidy of course) who is a suburban dad and family man. As it turns out, Ruby takes after her father and has a voice that could sell records… I think we can all guess what happens next.
