
Ubisoft finally unveiled their first trailer for their long awaited next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. It finally takes the franchise to one of the most fan requested settings, Feudal Japan.
Fans have clamored for a long time to be able to play as a samurai. Well they get their wish as not only can you play as a samurai but you will also play as a shinobi. For the first time since Assassins Creed Syndicate there will be two protagonists. One of which will be the true life historical character of Yasuke, an African who became a samurai. The second will be Naoe, an original character who is trained by her father to become a shinobi.

Both characters will offer different and unique experiences throughout the game. Yasuke will be more combat based where as Naoe will be more stealth based. Main quests will be able to be played as either Yasuke or Naoe but there will be specific quests throughout the game that will exclusive to one of them, giving players a variety of options.
The first trailer certainly has delivered a lot of hype. Ubisoft has a lot of pressure to live up to the fans expectations and the trailer definitely shows a lot of a promise.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15, 2024. Are you excited? Which protagonist will you play first?
