Covers for Superior IronMan 1 and 2

Here we go, the egomaniac and villain-like Tony Stark is back in town and looking to reshape the Marvel Universe in his image. Unlike Spiderman, who was taken over by a villain in his own “Superior” relaunch, this is Tony Stark, not some substitute or replacement. By the second issue his actions have already set other heroes against him. How will this all pan out? Hopefully things go better for Daredevil than they went for Captain America when he clashed with Tony on his last villain like run (Civil War!).

Superior Iron Man #1
BE SUPERIOR! NEW CREATIVE TEAM TOM (INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US/EARTH 2) Taylor AND YILDIRAY (SUPERGIRL) ÇINAR START AN ALL-NEW SERIES SPINNING OUT OF AXIS! How much would you pay for perfection, beauty…immortality? TONY STARK is going to find out. The AXIS EFFECT has changed IRON MAN • Now HE’S going to change the WORLD…at a terrible cost.

Superior Iron Man #2
THE SUPERIORITY COMPLEX! TONY STARK has transformed SAN FRANCISCO…into the prototype for his NEW WORLD concept. But MATT MURDOCK isn’t down with Tony’s new vision. Can DAREDEVIL lead the rebellion against THE SUPERIOR IRON MAN?

Issue 1 comes out tomorrow, November 12th, 2014 and issue 2 hits in just 2 weeks on November 26, 2014. Will you be picking up this new chapter in Tony Stark’s life?

Marvel's Agents of Shield

If you aren’t watching Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, then you really should be! Since last year’s (spoiler alert) fall of SHIELD in Captain America: Winter Soldier, the show has been firing on all cylinders both creatively- and literally (the story movement has been nonstop). The team’s recent addition of Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) has been fantastic as has the mystery of Director Coulson’s alien writings. Is it Kree? Could it tie into the Inhumans? Are we seeing seeds planted for Age of Ultron or Captain America: Civil War? As many great questions that you can ask, here is hoping some of them pan out!

Tonight’s all new episode airs at 9pm on ABC. Here is the official description from ABC:

Marvel’s Agents of Shield, “The Writing on the Wall”
The team discovers murder victims who have on their bodies the same alien glyphs on them that Coulson’s been etching, and all of Coulson’s secrets and lies come to a head.

You can watch previews and past clips that tie into the episode on ABC GO.

Marvel Studios has released a new poster and teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Check out the new poster, which is a very cool variation of the original Avengers poster.

Poster for Avengers Age of Ultron

You can check out the teaser trailer here. Directed by Joss Whedon, the action sequel teams up the original Avengers with a crop of new heroes from other Marvel solo movies (the Falcone from Captain America: Winter Soldier, War Machine from Ironman 2 & 3) to take on a much worse evil entity (the title character Ultron). The movie will star Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders, and Paul Bettany, with newcomers to the Marvel Universe Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Andy Serkis, and James Spader as Ultron.  We have a long wait as it does not come out until May 1, 2015.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman Revealed
Sure, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment released some Dark Knight Returns inspired footage for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but that was slightly overshadowed by the reveal of the movie’s Wonder Woman. Until now it was unknown if Gal Gadot would even don a costume, but here she is in a darkened version of her classic suit. The amazon warrior looks very similar to another warrior princess, but personally I don’t have any issue with that. Hopefully the outfit will get some classic red and blue before the trinity of heroes team up in Justice League.

Josh Brolin as Thanos

Josh Brolin is Thanos
The Marvel Studios panel had almost everyone from Avengers: Age of Ultron in attendance, including Robert Downey, Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L Jackson, and James Spader, but joining the panel was someone unexpected; Josh Brolin who will be stepping into the boots of Marvel’s cosmic big bad Thanos. He jumped on the stage wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, ate a rose that Robert Downey Jr gave him, and showed that he will be a force to be reckoned with… eventually.

Ash in an Evil Dead Series

Evil Dead: The Series
Talk about unexpected. There was nt an Evil Dead screening or anniversary panel or anything like that. Instead, during the Screen Gems panel Sam Raimi, there to talk about The Last of Us, dropped a bomb on the audience; he is developing Evil Dead as a TV series with Bruce “Ash” Campbell and Ivan Raimi. Campbell followed up the announcement with the reveal that if it happens, he will star in the series. The team is no stranger to TV, having worked on shows such as Jack of All Trades and Xena: Warrior Princess together, and each having a hand in many other shows. God, I hope this happens.

The Walking Dead Trailer

The Walking Dead Season 5 Trailer
Not many TV shows get presented in Hall H, but The Walking Dead is a show that has earned its place in the large ballroom. AMC aimed to please the crowd and showed a lengthy (and spoiler filled) trailer for the new season. There is so much packed into this trailer (you can watch it here); what secrets do Terminus hold? How will our survivors get out? What new characters were revealed? Where is Beth? I’m not posting the spoilers here, but the release of this trailer alone makes the San Diego Comic Con worth it.

What piece of news from the 2014 San Diego Comic Con excites you the most? Which of these 4 awesome things is your favorite?

DEADPOOL - READ ONLINE FOR FREE

Not at San Diego Comic Con? Getting bored waiting for updates about your favorite comics, movies, and television shows? Well, it is time to thank Marvel Comics who have released Deadpool: The Gauntlet Infinite Comic #1 & #2 online to read for free (that’s right, my favorite price: free). These are the first two issues in a 13 part series that sees the Merc with the Mouth go to work for the King of Vampires, Dracula. Deadpool must deliver a package for the vampire, but what happens that left Deadpool a changed mutant?

Also for free to read online this week are the first two issues for Infinite Comics titles Iron Man: Fatal Frontier and Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted. Check out all six issues online here.

After you read the free comic book issues, we want to know your thoughts! Come back and post a comment about them!

Just in time for X-Men: Days of Future Past to bring Sentinels to the movie audience, the Uncanny X-Men have recently been faced with them again with a mystery villain building them for SHIELD. Hopefully issue 21 sheds new light on the mutant hunting robots. It also looks like Cyclops and the gang will be paying a destructive visit to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
