Wall Street is a place where more happens than most of us are aware of. This is the place where so much about the price of different goods is determined. It is important that you are paying attention to what is going on up there. That is why the show Wall Street Warriors is so interesting to me. This show is all about the different people that work on Wall Street. It shows the different things that they do in their jobs and helps explain what is going on to the average individual out there who has no clue about what is going on.

I think that a show like Wall Street Warriors is great both as an educational show and for entertainment value as well. I personally make sure that I tune in each week on my bestchoicetv.com to catch the episodes. It is a new show, so it is hard to say which episode is my favorite yet. I would just say the first episode titled “Capitalism Rules” simply because of the fact that it was the episode that introduced me to the show. If you want to be entertained or educated, it is important that you make sure that you tune in to this show as often as possible. I learn something new every time I tune in and I think you will too.

Oscar nominee James Franco is making a grand return to General Hospital at the end of September. Unlike most actors that get their start in soaps, Franco decided to go for a run on the long running daytime drama in 2009, well after he found success in both television and film. I love Franco and his Hospital serial killer character of the same name and I can’t wait to see what they do with him on this go around. It is said to be a “long-term” arc. With One Life to Live and All My Children canceled off of ABC, General Hospital is going to have to pull out all of the stops to prove that the show still belongs in the lineup and this is a good step towards that.

More goodies from the Wonder Woman pilot that will never see the light of day have surfaced, includes two clips from the proposed series and a bunch of pretty cool storyboards. The storyboards are by concept artist Cesar Lemus and show shots from the released clips (like the above one) along with glimpses of WW’s origin on Paradise Island. Was her origin originally going to be in the pilot but got cut out or were they saving it for later? After watching the footage, this series seems like less of a fit for NBC and more of a fit for the CW. It could have been a good guilty pleasure superhero series to replace Smallville… oh well.

I don’t know about you, but I really really need a vacation. Summer is supposed to be relaxing, but I feel overworked, underpaid, and like I haven’t had anytime for myself in weeks. This weekend, I think it is time for an old fashion Movie Night. But here is the real question, should it be themed or random?

One easy go to option would be to focus on past years Best Picture Oscar nominees. Let’s forget the past two years, because 10 films is more of a “Movie Weekend” and not a Movie Night. Reaching back to 2009 we’d have…

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, and Slumdog Millionaire. Not only would this be a long Movie Night, but it would be an ultra serious one. Could be great for a gathering where you want to have intellectual conversations, but this isn’t quite what I had in mind to clear my head.

Lets see if I can think of something that is more in line with how I am feeling…

Action packed? Mindless? Popcorn flick? Zombies? Yeah, as bad as the Resident Evil adaptations have been, they fill the quote of my current mindset. They have action, zombies, short runtimes, and if you fall asleep during one and wake up later in the movie you don’t really feel as though you have missed anything. For me, this series is a perfect guilty pleasure Movie Night.

Post a comment and let me know what your favorite kinds of Movie Nights are. Do you like horror? Action? Musicals? War movies? Guilty pleasure movies? Thankfully we have online stores where you can find cheap blu-rays and there are streaming sites where you can find movies like Netflix and YouTube. There is no reason to not make the perfect Movie Night these days. A big thanks goes out to our friends at Canada Post for inspiring this article!

Yesterday we talked about Captain America: The First Avenger, which comes out this weekend, and now thanks to Comic Con we have the first official poster for Marvel Studio’s The Avengers.

Directed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Joss Whedon, The Avengers brings together Marvel’s Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Sam Jackson) along with new additions Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and SHIELD agent  Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and of course our new Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

I think it is a safe assumption that we’ll get a taste of the team up flick at the end of this weekend’s Captain America, likely after the credits. Are you excited for The Avengers? I can’t wait to see more…

As we move closer to the July 22nd release of Marvel Studio’s Captain American: The First Avenger we are getting more and more goodies for the comic adaptation. If you head over to the teaser website you’ll find more than a dozen images from the movie (including the one above), the theatrical trailer, teaser trailer, superbowl spot, and a shot plot synopsis. Check out that picture of Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull and tell me that you are not excited to see Marvel’s super solider come to live on the big screen.

Shock Till You Drop scored a plot synopsis and an image from the forth installment of the Underwold series. The image features the return of Kate Beckinsale as Selene, a sexy vampire with a taste for leather.  From the directing team of Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, Underworld: Awakening jumps ahead in time from the last time we saw Selene in 2006’s Evolution. The secret world of vampires and werewolves has been released to the public, who are hunting them down. The idea sounds like it could be good, but if I learned anything from the past three Underworld flicks, it is that they will be mediocre at best. Even the above image… if I didn’t know better I’d think it was from one of the first two movies in the action series.

We started this entry by talking about one captain, so lets end it by chatting about another one. The classic 90s cheeseball cartoon Captain Planet and the Planeteers is getting the big screen treatment thanks to Transformers producer Don Murphy and the Cartoon Network. This will be CN’s first foray into theatrical movies. According to reports, the big screen adaptation will be live action and focus on current global issues such as “earthquakes, tornadoes, melting icebergs”.

Murphy’s filmography is a mixed bag. In addition to all three Transformers films (the first two of which I hated, the third I just didn’t bother with), he also produced the horrid adaptation of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and disappointing From Hell, along with Shoot ‘Em Up… which was a damn fun popcorn flick. So one out of a dozen ain’t that bad but his name doesn’t give me hope that they could make Captain Planet into a good movie. If anything I think this captain would be better off on the small screen and animated for new audiences. Gear the show to young kids and entertain them while you teach them a thing or two about the environment.

I don’t fully know how I feel about DC Comics upcoming renumbering/reboot of their line. The fanboy in me that followed the DCU for years and years is disappointed, but with how bad things have gotten recently (which caused me to not bother picking up a DC title in months), I can see why they’d want to move forward and forget some of the recent past. A way to re-energize the line and fans with fresh material.

I’m just seriously disappointed by the cover to Superman #1 (below and to the right). The costume redesign looks goofy and the art is subpar. George Perez has done classic work in the past, but someone should have sent this horrible cover back and asked him to do something else. To give it another go and see how it would look. It seems lazy and lackluster for one of the books that should be at the top of DC’s line.

There’s no time for answers now, because Superman must stop a monstrous threat to Metropolis – one that he somehow is the cause of!

Superboy #1 (above left)
Writer: Scott Lobdell
Artist: RB Silva & Rob Lean
Official Description: They thought he was just an experiment – and a failed one at that! Grown from a combination of Kryptonian and human DNA, the clone was no more than a set of data to the scientists of Project N.O.W.H.E.R.E. But when the scope of his stunning powers was revealed, he became a deadly weapon! Now the question is: Can a clone develop a conscience?

Supergirl #1 (above right)
