Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have our first look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and I have to say, he looks fantastic in the role. When they initially announced Eisenberg I was surprised and my first reaction was that it wouldn’t work. But as time has passed, I’ve grown more and more in support of the choice and I think he has the chops (and now the look) to knock it out of the park.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder states that Eisenberg’s Luthor is not “…any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure.” As much as I love Hackman and pushed for Spacey, neither was nearly as brutal, blood thirsty, cunning, or evil as Luthor should be. Both were a mix of real estate mogul and comedic relief. I have high hopes that Snyder will take us far from the theatrical Luthor’s of the past and pull more from the comics.

We already know that the superhero team up/fight will bring together Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), with a strong rumor pointing to us also seeing the Flash (Ezra Miller). That is a lot of heroes for Luthor to deal with, will he have any other DC villains on his side? We are exactly a year before the movie’s release on March 25, 2016, so I have a feeling that we’ll be learning a lot more soon.

How do you feel about the look of Eisenberg’s Luthor? Think he can stack up to past Luthors Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, and Michael Rosenbaum?

We are giving away one of the most surprising (and fun) crossovers in cartoon/movie history, a (Blu-ray+DVD Combo Pack) of The Flintstones & WWE Stone Age Smackdown! It takes me back to when the Harlem Gobetrotters teamed up with the Scooby Gang.

In honor of the movie’s release, we are proud to present The Flintstones & WWE Stone Age Smackdown App. Featured included in the app are: (1) find out which Flintstones WWE star you are via a quiz, (2) downloadable activities you can share with your whole family, (3) watch the official trailer, and (4) a link to buy the movie online (in case you don’t win it). Thoughts: The first movie in “The Divergent Series” was a little hit and miss for me. It had an interesting future/sci-fi world and enough going on to get my attention, but sadly it also had some logic leaps and a perplexing ending. (next comment includes spoilers for the first movie) After taking some hits, the good guys saved the day. They defeated the “evil” Jeanine and stopped her plan. Then for unexplained reasons, they let her live and they fled. That is very frustrating as our heroes (Tris & Four) were very willing to kill their enemies- heck, earlier in the movie, Tris even had to kill a brainwashed friend. Now in the new movie they are fugitives on the run from Jeanine. Wait, really?

I just hope the movie isn’t the first one recycled and doesn’t follow the recent book adaptation trend of just being a middle entry in a series that has absolutely no beginning or end. Nothing is more frustrating for this viewer than a movie that just ends with no resolution.
