The story of John Lennon’s childhood and rise to fame is coming to a theater near you. Sam Taylor-Wood will be helming “Nowhere Boy” for Ecosse Films, from a script written by Matt Greenhalgh, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

The biopic “details the story of Lennon as a lonely teenager growing up as his aunt and the mother who gave him up fight for his love. His only escape is music, art and his fateful friendship with Paul McCartney.” Filming will begin later this year in Liverpool, with a release date currently unknown.
