“Bond, James Bond” is back in an all new adventure! It might be a while before we get a new 007 movie thanks to all of the financial troubles of the MGM (the movie studio that owns the rights to the superspy) but at least we’d continue getting new video games.
James Bond 007: Blood Stone just come out on X-Box 360, PS3, and PCs, and stars Daniel Craig as Bond. In his new adventure, Bond must unravel a mystery that concerns a secret bio-chemical project that has fallen into the wrong hands. To uncover the truth Bond must fight across the globe, including Athens, Istanbul, Monaco, and Bangkok. How deep does the conspiracy run? You’ll have to play to find out.
The game features a mixture of third-person gun fights, hand to hand combat, and driving action. In addition to Daniel Craig, Judi Dench reprises her role from the films and Joss Stone is the latest”Bond Girl”. The online gameplay allows for up to 16 people, which is completely badass. Back on the Nintendo 64, GoldenEye‘s multiplayer set the standards of badass-ness and I can’t wait to hunt down 15 of my friends in Blood Stone.
Speaking of the classic game, while the Wii will not be getting Blood Stone, they have gotten a revamped GoldenEye 007. The game has been revamped and updated, now utilizing the current Bond, Daniel Craig, instead of Pierce Brosnan whose likeness was featured in the original game (and who starred in the movie the game was based on). The game’s story has been changed up a little bit to fit better in the world of Craig’s Bond. I gotta say, this is pretty cool. The original GoldenEye 007 was awesome, and it looks like they did a good job updating the game with modern gameplay.
