The Grand Budapest Hotel

This March, the new movie The Grand Budapest Hotel premieres in cinemas. It is written by Stefan Zweig and directed by the legendary Wes Anderson. As we see in The Grand Budapest Hotel trailer, this movie looks almost like a fantasy. Everything is just so colorful and it all plays with our eyes and imagination.

The new film recounts the adventures of M Gustave and Zero Moustafa. Gustave H is a famous concierge at this famous European Hotel, Zero is the lobby boy. Many distinguished people are visiting the hotel because of the charming concierge, because, he can conquer the heart of any old, rich lady within seconds. This is a secret dirty passion of his. This is why, our main hero gets into some troubles and together with his true friend Zero, they experience some unbelievable adventures. The young lobby boy is the one who shows what a true friendship means. Next to them, there are a bunch of other characters. All of them will make the public laugh and experience some really nice time.

The Grand Budapest Hotel has an absolutely splendid cast, starring stars like Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Jude Law, Adrien Brody, F.Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Tony Revolori, Owen Wilson and many others. Ralph Fiennes looks simply fantastic as M Gustave. Such great actors – no wonder why this movie is going to be huge.

Brought to us by 20th Century Fox and produced by Scott Rudin Productions and Indian Paintbrush, The Grand Budapest Hotel is going to make the audience fall in love with its characters and laugh really hard. There is a lot to see and a lot to laugh about. The critics all around the world say that the humor in this movie gets up to high points.

The visuals are simply amazing, as everything looks magical, but at the same time authentic. Do not miss the opportunity to be next to M Gustave and Zero Moustafa in their adventures. This spring, watch the new comedy/drama The Grand Budapest Hotel and feel the incredible story coming alive.

June of next year, directors John Lasseter and Brad Lewis will be bringing Lightning McQueen back into theaters as he goes on a whirlwind adventure around the world with his best pal Mater. I loved the first Cars and I can’t wait to see what Pixar comes up with for the sequel. There have been rumors of spies and an international race, with mistaken identity mixed with a chase movie.  I’d pretty much be game for whatever they come up with. The only sad part is that Paul Newman will not be able to reprise his role as the voice of Doc Hudson, he will be missed. Check out the teaser poster and leave a comment with your thoughts!

Happy Holidays everyone! We’ll keep updating through New Years, just at a bit of a slower rate (as we have been this past week). Thanks for checking out the site!

  • Owen Wilson provides the voice for the newspaper comic strip dog turned movie Marmaduke. Sadly, his voice and the opening shot makes me think its Marley and Me 2. Click here to give it a look. Did anyone know they were making the dog talk?
  • After 23 years Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have split up. What? Seriously? I guess no Hollywood couples are safe, no matter how long they’ve been together or how happy they seem.  On a side note, Sarandon is wonderful in The Lovely Bones. She deserves some Oscar supporting actress love.
  • Warner Brothers have released a synopsis for their DC Comics adaptation of the Losers.  “An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, The Losers centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team — Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar — find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.”
  • There are a lot of movies opening this weekend! For the older crowd we have Maryl Streep and Alec Baldwin in It’s Complicated.  For the kiddies there is Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.  For the ladies there is the musical Nine. For the guys there is the action re-invention of Sherlock Holmes from Guy Ritchie. And for both kinds of adults we have Up in the Air with George Clooney expanding, and Heath Ledger’s final film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Cars Animated Toon

A couple weeks ago we reported about Pixar’s new Up short, George and AJ and now they have a new Cars Toon, UFM: Unidentified Flying Mater.  In the short, the ever lovable Mater is telling Lightning McQueen the story about when he befriended a UFO. As always, the short is fun, inventive, and entertaining. I can not wait for Cars 2 in 2011!

You can watch Mater (and a few other familiar cars) in UFM: Unidentified Flying Mater via YouTube or Facebook.

What can I say? I think this looks like a lot of fun and has an awesome supporting cast that includes Amy Adams, Ricky Gervais, Hank Azaria, Christopher Guest, and of course, Robin Williams.

What are your thoughts? Did you enjoy the first one? Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian hits theaters on Memorial Day.
