2 Broke Girls

After a disappointing second season, 2 Broke Girls has rebounded a bit. The show has found a good groove with Kat Dennings’ Max going to culinary school and all of the new characters that have come with it. This is something she (and the show) should have done before her and Caroline (Beth Behrs) opened a Cupcake Shop (the second season raced too far ahead too quickly). The supporting cast including Matthew Moy as Han, Garrett Morris as Earl, and Jonathan Kite as Oleg, all click and own their characters. The diner scenes are still the funniest and most enjoyable part of the series.

Official Episode Description, “And the Icing on the Cake”: When Deke invites Max’s friends over to his dumpster house, Caroline learns a big secret about his background.

2 Broke Girls airs on CBS at 8:30 PM. Also on tonight…

Thor - Jamie Alexander

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has been getting better with every episode. The cast is gelling with each other and everyone plays a roll. The mysteries of Agent Coulson’s return from the dead and Skye’s mysterious past are front and center and building, along with the question of who is The Clairvoyant (aka the first season’s “big bad”).  Now we have news that Thor‘s Lady Shif (Jamie Alexander) will be joining the mix in an upcoming episode. Will The Clairvoyant end up being tied to Asgard? Does Lady Shif hold the key to who he might be? Will anyone else from Asgard end up visiting our Government sponsored Scooby Gang? I’d love to also see Thor: The Dark World‘s Fandral (Zachary Levi) show up. It has been too long since we have seen Levi on the small screen.

Captain America

Agent Carter is one step closer to becoming a reality as Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas (writers on Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse) have been chosen as potential showrunners. The pair created the supernatural comedy Reaper, which was very enjoyable in its early run. It is interesting to think where they might go with Agent Carter, as we learned in the Marvel One-Shot short that she will be the co-head of the newly formed SHIELD, along with Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). Rumor has it that Hayley Atwell will return as Peggy Carter, but no word on if Cooper will reprise Stark or if we’ll see other familiar faces from Captain America: The First Avenger, including Dum Dum Dugan (Neal McDonough), Jim Morita (Kenneth Choi) or any of the other Howling Commandos.

On one hand, if the series gets made we’ll be able to visit some of the unseen Marvel history between the first Captain America and Ironman. But on the other hand, we already have a SHIELD series, do we really need a second one? I’d love to see a different side of the Marvel Universe, like Black Panther or Doctor Strange. But I guess both of them are rumored to be the center of future films. I guess we’ll see.

Royal Rumble

I think it is pretty obvious that WWE has screwed the pooch with this year’s Royal Rumble. What’s the main attraction of the Royal Rumble? Anyone can see that it is the Royal Rumble match!

Yet here we sit, a week from the event and I’m not sure they’ve announced even half the people in it. Who have they announced? Dave Batista, a man I’ve never been impressed with, who has finally decided to come back because, apparently, it’s not so easy to become a movie star. And beyond him? Alberto Del Rio, a man who has fallen so low down the card he jobbed to Sin Cara about a month ago. Then you throw in Kofi Kingston, a man who nobody thinks has a shot, yet they muddy the waters by giving him a win over the champion. Who does that help? Is Kingston going to become number one contender? Not with “Captain Ego”, Brock Lesnar in line first even after Superman Cena.  Right now there is not one credible person in the Rumble other than Batista, and if you go into the match knowing who is going to win then what’s the point? Other entries include CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and Roman Reigns.

What else does the Rumble have? Well, we’ve got John Cena versus Randy Orton in a rematch of one of the most historic matches in fifty years, the unification of the WWE and the World Heavyweight championships. And there is Big Show versus Brock Lesnar. With the launch of the WWE Network just about a month away, WWE needs to be bring their A+ game more than ever. They unified the titles a month early. They’ve paid barely any attention to the Royal Rumble match and they’ve let Brock Lesnar just crown himself the next #1 contender. The Royal Rumble is going to decide one half of the main event at Wrestlemania. There’s only one champion left for the winner to challenge. Turning it into a throwaway match is just like throwing away money.

I was watching NXT about a month ago, if my research is right it was the 200th episode. The NXT Tag Team champions, a title I hold in slightly higher prestige than the TNA Knockouts Tag Titles, known as The Ascension, had issues an open challenge to any tag team in the world. They were answered by The American… Pitbulls? Here are some highlights.

The Wolves

Now any Ring of Honor fan, or fan of indie or Japanese wrestling knows The American Wolves. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards have been as famous as you can get without working for TNA or WWE for years now. Which means, of course, once they come to WWE they must be “repackaged.” I’ve never understood why WWE has come to believe every wrestler they hire needs a new name, a new gimmick and near whitewash of their history. I can understand WWE not wanting to acknowledge TNA. TNA at least passes for a vague shadowy ghost of a spectra of a wisp of a challenge to them. But Ring of Honor?

WWE uses RoH as much as a development territory as they do NXT. Where do you think CM Punk came from? Why was CM Punk the last guy they let keep his name? Punk got over in WWE by being the same guy he got over as in the indies and RoH. Bryan Danielson and Daniel Bryan are all but the same and Bryan became Superstar of the Year as voted by the fans. Even worse the pair became Derek Billington (Richards) and John Cahill (Edwards). WWE changed their names and, of course, came up with what my Irish friend Conor could only describe as “shite names.” However that is not the worst news of this story. WWE let the Wolves go. Rather than signing one of the best teams of the modern day, they let them go to TNA. It’s maddening for me to learn this. What’s even more upsetting is I may have to start watching TNA again just to see them.

Devils Due

The New Year has begun and it is going to be full of interesting, chilling and promising movies. Co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are glad to present their new work in horror genre; this movie has plenty of mysterious and terrifying scenes which will chill the audience to the bone. The movie from 20th Century Fox Company will hit the US theatres this January. The directors gathered all needed elements to make a high quality horror movie and also add some fresh ideas and their own look. The audience will definitely see the difference from other horror films. The newest movie’s Devil’s Due trailer is already available and the true horror fans will surely enjoy it.

The plot tells a life story of young couple, they are some much in love and are preparing for their wedding at the moment. Zach and Samantha, the main characters, played by Allison Miller and Zach Gilford, live a worry free life full of romance and laughs. And what could go wrong? They have an amazing wedding ceremony, being surrounded by the closest friends and after the event the happy newlyweds head abroad to spend their unforgettable honeymoon there. Zach has a habit to film everything what is going on around and he recorded their wedding and plans to shoot the honeymoon to keep the best memories fresh. The honeymoon is going just well and one evening Sam and Zach find a strange club and decide to spend the night there. The night was great, full of drinks, smiles and dances. But when the morning comes, both of them have no idea what happened last night and how they got back to their apartment.

After the couple comes back home, Sam suddenly finds out that she is having a baby, she is shocked because Sam is sure that they are always using the protection. The young family is thrilled by becoming the parents and starts to prepare the house for a baby. Zach records every moment how they tell their parents about the grandchild and how decorate the nursing room. While filming all these memorable moments, Zach starts to see the changing in Sam’s attitude. Strange noises, moving objects and frightful shadows begin to terror the couple. So what will happen next?

To promote the new horror movie, the movie makers created a kind of creepy promotion, they named it Devil Baby. A baby carriage with crying newborn was placed on the streets of New York City. The left alone carriage attracted lots of attention and people were getting closer to check on the baby and then…Check this chilling prank on the video resources.

Do not miss the terrifying and mysterious movie, watch the fairytale gone wrong. The horror film hits the theaters from 17th of January, 2014.

Brooklyn 9 9

Sunday was a big night for the freshman sitcom when Andy Samberg walked away with the Best Comedy Actor award and the show walked away with Best Comedy Series at the Golden Globes. However, while there were some people who were shocked to see the show actually win anything, those who watch the show know that it’s well deserved. Brooklyn Nine-Nine, although not the best ratings performer, is definitely the best new comedy series on the air right now. With an ensemble that’s airtight and some of the best comedy writing anywhere right now, Brooklyn Nine-Nine deserves to be watched. Live. No DVR or pirating bullsh!t. It’s that good. So at 8:30 sit your butt in front of your TV and turn on FOX because Brooklyn Nine-Nine is the future of TV comedy and its future is bright.
